F. Scott Fitzgerald

Again, sorry for missing yesterday! I have some extra time today due to the holiday, so I might try and get a few more items up today to make up for my two missed entries earlier this week.

So this is another one of my series of author portraits on paperback novels. Fitzgerald made a huge impression on me when I was younger, and I still consider "The Great Gatsby" to be a total delight.

I will be doing a series of these for (fast approaching) group show called "Out of Place" that opens on Friday, March 12th. It's going to be a big hullaballoo of an opening, with a team art battle, DJ, grab bags, and a raffle, with some very interesting young artists... it should be lots of fun, and I'd love to see you there! Sketches for a Bag Project

First off, sorry I missed yesterday.

These are some sketches for a bit of decoration I am planning on doing for a shoulder bag I own. it is yellow-green canvas and I thought that it might look cool to have some silhouettes of the sorts of things I cary in my bag on the outside. I think I might do it by hand cutting stencils from freezer paper, that seems to work well. These are some prepatory sketches... I'l try and make it before the month is out and post it on Thing-A-Day.
